Countries including China, South Korea, and Belgium have added chloroquine to their treatment guidelines.
No, they've added it to clinical trial protocols. The WHO is also currently conducting a broader trial with multiple drugs, including chloroquine.
I think that the left of center media has left you possibly misinformed. Because they are putting party above people. I suggest broadening your reading horizons. Because honestly your post is hyperbolic and ill informed. It's also partisan. If Trumps wins again in November, I look forward to more of your posts. Keep them coming. Until then, here's a link for you.
I don't expect you to read every post I write, but the one below this "Some hope" was actually based on a small French trial with... hydroxychloroquine.
So while I'm glad you could blather on about your beliefs about the left of center media, I get my science news from actual journals, thanks. What I'm calling out here is Trump saying the FDA had approved chloroquine on a fast track to treat Covid19. This is not a media creation, since we have recorded video. It is also a bald faced lie. Unless you'd like to show me proof the FDA actually approved the drug...?
And I don't know what you think this has to do with Trump's election. My morality is not defined by the goal of defeating Trump. Any number of things I heavily disapprove of will definitely help defeat him. I'm not changing my mind on them for that reason.
Nor am I going to not call out medical misinformation coming from a person who should be taking more care than pretty much anyone in the world with his words in this situation, given his reach. If for some reason, this has the effect of Trump getting re-elected in November, then so be it.
