Fake Aegon dies. The Golden Company is then hired by Cersei. Dany comes back to invade the Seven Kingdoms, vaporizes King's Landing and then marches North. The Dead come south with the Horn to knock down the Wall. They overwhelm Winterfell, survivors flee South. Dany tries to stop them, they wipe out most of her force.
Then Jon Snow stabs her to make his blade a flaming blade, he becomes Azor Ahai and defeats the Night King and then dies killing the rest of the White Walkers, after which no new dead can be made, and after several bloody battles, the remnants of the Army of the Dead are stopped (i.e., no "kill the head vampire" trope).
At that point, Tyrion is proclaimed king because he's the only surviving Lannister and married to the head of House Stark (still - no one invalidated their marriage). Bran goes off to be the Three-Eyed Crow, Arya can do whatever Arya-ing she wants to, etc.
