So "hate" is a strong term. I don't wish them ill, but in this context of sports-hate, I would say that I hate the former San Diego team. Why?

Because they left me.

I stuck with them through, well I was going to say thick & thin, but there really hasn't been any thick. Anyways, I have stuck with them all these years. I went through the Ryan Leaf years. I made it through the ultimate heart-breaks. I've been a fan. But then they leave me when I refuse to buy them a new house. I'm sorry. We cannot be fiscally irresponsible for you. So then you go to a hated rival city which doesn't even want you?

You are dead to me.
