I, too am a long time Giant fan. I had just turned 6 years old when Unitas, Berry and Ameche won "the greatest game ever." Shortly after my 11th birthday, the Bears broke my heart and ended Y.A. Tittle's career in the snow at Chicago. I was at Yankee Stadium in 1971 to watch George Allen's Redskins run up the score. I have hated the Colts, Bears and Redskins ever since. I hate the Cowboys and Eagles. I hate the 49ers for the Bill Walsh years. I hate the Ravens for our only Super Bowl loss. And for Ray Lewis. I do not hate the Patriots.
Belichick made his bones as a Giant DC and should have succeeded Parcels instead of the abomination that was Ray Handley, if it wasn't for George Young allowing his personal dislike for Belichick to cloud his judgement. Plus up until the travesty of the hated Eagles winning last year, the Giants were the only team to beat the B&B combo in the big game. Twice. With no losses. And the ultimate win, ending the 18-0 season. Why should I hate them? The Patriots are like a kid brother who went on to become a first team All American basketball star but never beat his big brother one-on-one. Guess who's the big brother?
