There wasn't much plot development, honestly. The stupid guy who wanted to talk to the dragons got burned, there was the greyscale incident and Tyrion spent a lot of time being ridiculous with the midget woman. The totally superfluous fake Targaryen was added in so he could invade. A lot of ink was spilled on poor to middling prose.
