That fact is a lot sadder than the study itself, if you ask me.
Studies shouldn't get news coverage unless there is something news worthy in them, and this news worthy thing is scientifically verified with the best practice.
Yet what happens is 99% of studies do not get news coverage and when they get news coverage it is for "affect" reasons where they sell you something or they challenge you in a way that causes an affect reaction from the reader. And the news writers do not care if the study is using scientific best practices or not.
Truly a race to the bottom.
