This is just bad headline writing. He's good at soccer. He's bad at acting. I mean, he does a lot of acting, but he's not good at it.
I was tempted to start a whole new thread. Where is the honor in this sport? It's hard to watch. Even 30 years ago (Jesus...) when I was playing, the tendency of soccer players to flop and fake injury was so well-known that my coach forbid us to do it.
I can't really think of a way to fix it without incentivizing worse behavior. Maybe... if you go down and don't get back up and play immediately, you have to go out. If your team has a substitute remaining, they can come in. If not, your team plays one down for 5-10 minutes, then someone can come in. Of course, that encourages violence by the other team, but one could argue (and Neymar does!) that other teams target him anyway.
I would say public ridicule / shame is the answer, but some of these guys appear shameless.
In this regard, the women's game is better. Because they are more honorable than the men, I guess.
