Never heard of them before, I may have to look 'em up. I appreciate the moment of levity; I woke up this morning and CNN was squawking about how awful Trump is, I flipped over to Fox which was saying how awful the Dems are, and I just said fuck it, no more news for me today, because holy shit I could have turned on either channel from 6 months ago and it would have been effectively the same programming.
I generally try to avoid cable news because it is a literal shit-hole, but then I look at my news feed and it's either Conservatives justifying the awful actions Trump does (like, as a person. I generally agree with most of his policy directions, except seriously, Fuck Scott Pruitt), or Far Right people saying the White Genocide is coming, or Democrats crying because Trump ate at a seafood joint, and those poor fish, or Far Left people saying "All white people are Nazi's!"
So I guess, really, I'm just fucking sick of news.
And it makes me so mad, because I have several (like, 3, I live in Alabama) liberal friends, and I disagree with them in a lot of cases, and vise versa, but like, it doesn't matter. Because people are people. And, for whatever absurd reason, the media as a whole has completely lost that very simple fact; everyone out there is just a person, and if we can't (or refuse...) to talk to them, person to person, we're going to lose sight of that very real fact, and losing that is how Democracy crumbles.
So yeah, I know I'm sitting here ranting, but I guess my point is this; Roland, I very rarely can even read through your posts, I almost never get the point you're trying to make, and I generally write you off. And I'm wrong for doing that. Thank you, seriously, for helping me remember not everyone is constantly squawking. Thank you for helping me remember that it's not all complete bullshit all the time.
