Article from the Economist below, which seems in line with most assessments I've seen - that little of importance was agreed at the top, but though Trump didn't concede all that much, he gave more than Kim who doesn't seem to have conceded anything new, and stuck to the "complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula" phrase. In other words, expecting reciprocal access to US bases in South Korea if he allows inspectors access to North Korea's bases.

Then again, by this time the world knows better than to take Trump at his word, his pledge to give up the military exercises with South Korea doesn't necessarily mean anything of the sort will actually happen.
What does everybody else think?
We've been here before. Nothing is new. Still, Trump is a Trumpist and whatever North Korea may think they have gotten from this meeting needs to tempered with the realization that Trump is erratic. What's true today may not be true tomorrow. And that could continue to scare North Korea enough to continue talks.
Sure. I mean I can imagine Trump is just doing what any businessman would to get a deal. I just think that the same kind of personality who pushes thru multiple bankruptcies with just bravado and nerve is also a guy capable of fanatically disregarding every fact that might stop him from his goal. Kim can be his huge win, a total world history changing act. Acknowledging NK's modern slavery and starvation might ruin his deal, so they become a non-issue. With that, you're already convinced yourself that the guy helping you win big must also be a good guy. He's helping you win, after all.
