Quads, achilles, and ankles are sore and I have a nice sun exhaustion to go with them, but it was fun.
So what have I missed the past few months here?
Make sure you got good shoes. Jogging can take a toll on the knees.
I'm more a tennis guy myself. Running is more healthy though
I tend to underpronate, so I have to wear neutral shoes for road. I often go for smaller "drops" as well so I can work more on my forefoot/midfoot strikes as opposed to heel strikes. I like Brooks, On Running, ASICS, and Altra for various races (I used Brooks Levitate yesterday and alternate between that and ASICS Dynaflyte 2 for longer road, the On Cloudflow shoes for shorter sprint races, and Altra Lone Peak 3.0s or Brooks Casadias for trails).
I've been lucky with my knees. Usually it's my quads or Achilles that suffer the most and that's often due to still needing more warmup time than I've allotted myself.
Je suis méchant.
