Uh huh. Keep telling yourself that. It's the only way you'll be able to keep living with how terrible your team is.
It needs a head coach with more than a single season at even the COORDINATOR level, but I am confident that will be glaringly clear to Elway by the end of next season; in the mean time we have a top five pick to continue a long overdue offensive line rebuild well underway after spending our 1st rounder on an OT and luring Ron Leary away from the Cowboys last year. We still need a legit QB, obviously, but the D remains a top five unit, we have a pair of elite WRs under contract and a stable of steady if unremarkable RBs (CJ Anderson has flashed often enough he could prove really special once we have solid blocking, which will hopefully be soon.) Plus we still have an All Pro former DRoY OLB in his prime. That is not to say I enjoyed this season, but with our second coach in three years and the line still a disaster area I was not expecting much, and no one can win a Super Bowl EVERY year (not even cheaters.)
You should probably worry more about whether this is your head coach and 40-year-old QBs last hurrah (like how I worked in a Curley reference?) Everyone outside Boston is beyond tired of their crap, and that definitely includes the other 31 owners (i.e. everyone on the Competition Committee except Belichick.)
