What about people who didn't see any deconstruction or anything particularly clever in any way about the movie at all?
Well, they're boring.
I think the movie is a bit ham-fistedly deconstructing what it means to be Star Wars (how many times do we hear Kylo Ren say 'Let go of the past; kill it if you have to"?). Part of that is severing Skywalker from Star Wars. A lot of the movie is about giving us the real Luke Skywalker, not the legendary Luke Skywalker. It reminds me a lot of GO SET A WATCHMAN (and the fan reaction to that book), where Atticus is revealed to be a much more deeply flawed individual than we knew in MOCKINGBIRD.
