Part of the reason people talk about "fake news" is because there is no integrity left in journalism whatsoever (if there ever was any). It is completely transparent that someone can pay for content that is on its face above the editorial line.
I don't know if they paid the reviewers off directly or simply cajoled and threatened them by letting them know they would never review anything again if they didn't give good reviews, but I have stopped expecting "real" reviews of movies from any sources other than a shrinking list of media sources that seem to be trying to uphold the "old" standards. This makes me wonder what the Wall Street Journal said (if anything) about this movie...
