I really liked the Yoda burning part. It showed that Luke actually did care about the Jedi and the history, and would have probably been angry at himself had he carried through with it.

How did Rey get the books? Did she take them without Luke knowing?

I kinda wish Luke has done more training, and then after setting her on the path of re-founding the Jedi Order became One with the Force. As it stands he is essentially irrelevant, which is partly why I think so many people have issues with this movie.
