...as well as import a massive underclass of third-world voters, you're definitely a Democrat.

i'm old enough to remember when republicans had a virtual lock on personal morality.

Obviously, since at the time of the alleged predation Roy Moore was a Democrat, you cretin!

today we have a serial sexual predator doing robocalls for a serial child molester, and all because republicans need one more vote because they're having a hard time destroying the country even with full control of every branch of government.

We have two men subjected to suspiciously timed accusations of outdated actions, by people of dubious credibility. Sexual slanders by democrats are hardly proof of wrongdoing, and it's highly likely those calls are their version of #metoo.

And let's talk about this situation and how it's working out. We had Bill Clinton much more seriously and credibly accused of rape in addition to harassment well beyond standards Democrats had claimed were disqualification for federal office, and evaded conviction along partisan lines, and his chief accomplice was the candidate against Trump, whom hostile but quasi-respectable institutions like the New York Times investigated thoroughly for such scandals, until accusations were unleashed at the last minute to poison the electoral atmosphere, about his sacrosanct "personal life", as his opponent's partner's transgressions were deemed to have taken place.

Back when you could remember Republicans having a monopoly on personal morality, your ilk was calling it prudery and repression. So the GOP started letting in Democrats and their supporters, like Strom Thurmond, Donald Trump and Roy Moore. Republicans basically accepted the lower standards Democrats demanded be used. They put aside that puritanical stuff and focused on issues and politics, rather than bedroom peccadillos and now we have this utterly hypocritical nonsense. The Democrats have Al Franken and Conyers serving for a long time, and aren't even suffering by their own (supposed) removal, as a Democratic governor is going to appoint Franken's replacement, and Conyers is endorsing his son to take his place. And the one current Republican is subjected to a national media smear campaign on the basis of hearsay concerning events more than 30 years old (none of which were deemed worthy of note during his long and controversial public career), wherein the only known piece of physical evidence offered to support his accusers has been tampered with.

Donald Trump and Roy Moore's defenses are "it never happened" and there has been no evidence offered otherwise. Other Republicans so accused in the past have been convicted in a court of public opinion based on interpretation of foot placement in a bathroom, or consensual conduct with their spouses. The Democrats so accused have evidence ranging from taped conversations, photographic evidence of sexual assault and semen samples! Their defense is "there's nothing wrong with a married, middle-aged man sodomizing an intern 20 years younger and lying about it publically, which is justifiable because it's his personal life" but there is something abhorrent about a single man, at a younger age, dating women of a similar age difference while searching for a partner. They act like people who have no concept of the definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors".
