Now that I'm actually an old lady, I'm much harder to please re:TV/movies.

As always, I have hopes. I'd love to have another nice Tolkien offering to watch.


I picked up the Hobbit around 11 or 12 years old. So its been 25 years for me knowing these characters and knowing what they are like. They are like old friends. And suddenly someone else has gotten their grubby money hungry paws on our old friends and of course we are worried.

If this were Netflix or HBO I would probably be less worried. But Amazon has their own agenda and that could be a problem.
