Odd... I spent the whole movie thinking Diana was being an idiot, and Steve was the real hero... - Edit 2

Wonder Woman was really amazing as a movie. Apart from its awesomeness, I was also reminded of how similar Diana was to Egwene.

The first is obvious and how Diana saved the world, much like Egwene did. She fought Ares just like Egwene fought Taim. It was an epic battle where the male villain initially underestimated the female protagonist. Even though Diana did not sacrifice herself and was not as dedicated as Egwene, there were parallels.

Secondly, how Egwene was always in tears thinking about Rand and how she dreaded abandoning him. This was similar to how Diana felt about Steve, and how she cried out when he died. She was also a strong woman who refused to be undermined by sexism, much like Egwene.

Diana also grew up on an island of women, and Egwene in a Tower of women, and both were selected as avatars to defend them.

Diana was selfless, humble and passionate - much like Egwene.

It was good to see Egwene in a movie.

For having the near infinite patience for putting up with the crazy superwoman ranting about how men couldn't POSSIBLY have the self agency to actually have reasons for a war, and it is totally some gods fault. Based on... Absolutely bloody NOTHING. To the point her own people think she is nuts.

Mean while she somehow seems to know literally nothing about the outside world. Has no interest in learning, and expects it to just up and bend to her every whim because.... Because. So there.

...

...

... You know, I'd of never actually compared the two if you hadn't brought it up, but you actually DO seem to be on to something here.

Meanwhile DCEU amazons seem the most bloody useless beings in existence. In thousands of years they have managed to accomplish... Nothing.

They were given all of two missions in that time.

#1 teach men peace, and how to get along with each other... Which they completely gave up on the instant any of that hate and violence was directed at THEM... Yeah, I'm sure it sucked epicly, but... What the hell did they think the humans were going through with all that war and strife? O_o If they can't even understand that kind of thing, they make for some REALLY piss poor preachers of peace.

#2(And this one should be REALLY easy) Train Diana to kill Ares... ONLY accomplished because she, the "not a real amazon like the rest of them" never lesions to basically anything she doesn't like... Like ever.

... All that being said though, it actually wasn't that bad a movie. It just would of been nice if they gave her SOME actual REASON to suspect Ares other then... He god senses was tingling?

As is she basically spent most of the move ranting like a madwoman and ignorantly insulting like half the planet every five seconds.
