Doesn't sound too good. I peeked at it for 15 mins before the wife came down on Sunday (we are currently watching Freeks and Geeks), but it seemed a poor representation of ST.
Thoughts?
Maybe I will watch it someday. I find that show needs some maturing before I watch, aka several seasons of episodes for it is going to be either very good or very bad, and if its good I will want to watch the next episode, and if its very bad I will watch a couple and decide I do not like it, and then I check the internet and ask it does the show get better?
This is a system I have developed after watching several sci fi tv shows, and most especially this rule holds true for star trek. I mean just look at what happened in Stargate: Universe...that is hell you are walking into...and it was one of the few times I broke the rule of waiting for at least a season of shows before starting a sci fi series, and I still remember the psychic burns left on me.

So I never been a Will and Grace fan. I did not watch it from 1998 to 2005 due to living in my childhood household and by 2005 it was already burning itself out. I have seen several episodes but the show is not really for me.
That said I read several reviews of the 2017 9th season of Will and Grace's pilot and how horrible it was and I thought if its that bad I just have to watch it even if its for the sake of hate watching it.
Well based off a single episode, the new Will and Grace Season 9 in 2017 is just flat bad...it is not hate watching enjoyable...nor is it good, no it is just meh. And the sad thing is they have a whole west wing fight and I no longer feel like that the west wing is special anymore (due to current politics), nor did I feel any outrage or a snicker, or anything about me realizing wow a Comedy is satirizing the west wing, because it was not good satire, not good comedy, not a good farce, it was merely meh.
So Anonymous2000 do not watch the new Will and Grace for it is merely meh. Based off reviews of the new star trek it sounds meh, but the 1st season of star trek shows always suck.
