It was glorious in its base editorializing. It was an article about how Israelis "fear" living in Germany now that the anti-Muslim party AfD scored 13% of the vote. But then it went on to interview a leftist Israeli who said that AfD isn't "as bad" as the Israeli government and its fascist policies. Another "win" for journalism, another "win" for the Times. It was gross. I was happy that they quoted (probably to show how he was terrible) an Israeli conservative who said that Israelis who emigrate to Germany because they're Leftists are "not like the dog returning to its vomit, but rather, the vomit trying to return to the dog that vomited it out".
They threw cheap shots at Trump in as well (through their "quoted sources", obviously, so they'll say they didn't cherry-pick the statements to forward their own repulsive Leftist agenda), so the summary came down to: Trump = AfD = Likud = Hitler, Merkel = Migrants = Good.
The whole thing was disgusting. I'm probably going to add the Times to my filter so that it automatically redirects to something more reputable (which is really about anything these days) rather than giving them clicks. I already do that with CNN.
