Shifts from my mental music and actually gives you a decent response.

Yes I live in Houston. I was out of town when the hurricane hit. I am fine

Even without a hurricane I would not be in town the day when Harvey hit for I had plans already to be out of town for a couple weeks when the hurricane hit. (Remember on 8/14 I asked for book, podcast and other recommendations due to lots of travel during the next month). The hurricane did impact my plans in indirect ways but you do not need to know the details.

My house got over 48 inches of rain (according to the nearest weather station of the over 20+ weather stations in the greater Houston area) yet due to location of where my house is on the street, and where my street is compared to other streets I did not get any water inside my house. (I live next to a water tower and that water tower sits on a hill and blah blah gravity stuff)

So I am blessed for shit happens, but also charris / Χάρις happens and that is the nature of the world. This time a blessing was on my house / favor / charity was given to me by the random acts of nature / the gods. I did fine with this flooding, and I am blessed at this present time. But some historical concept for you do not know my history… I can’t stand floods and I have lost too much property over time to water.
Here let me link you a news story from 1998 which was my first flood.
https://www.weather.gov/ict/halloweenflood

https://fedoradude.smugmug.com/Journalism/1998-Augusta-Kansas-flood/i-gTHSXNZ

A foot of rain in a town known as Augusta, Kansas (15 miles from Wichita) and the town is surrounded by an earthen levee (35 feet tall), but the levee broke for it was not just the foot of rain but the fact that Augusta Kansas is right next to two rivers and the foot of rain combined with the two rivers already high water caused the rivers to be 16 feet tall in height than what would be considered flood conditions.

Plus two other floods that were localized to my house / basement due to hot water tank problems (one incident) and problems with the sump pumps (2nd incident) and lets just say I hate water and I hate flooding and I hate mold and I consider myself lucky that it did not happen to me again as a 4th time.

(...something something about rainbows and gods promise not to flood my life ever again with a great deluge... something something...)

----------------------------------------------------------

I got back to Houston / Home on 9/10/17 aka Sunday in the early morning and I have been busy so I have not posted until now. Blah, blah, blah stuff happening in my life and I am completely exhausted because of those stuff and I could not really take on another project due to bad weather.

So yes I live, I did fine with the hurricane even though other people in Houston that I personally know did not. I am despite the hurricane very busy and right now I wish a little more grace will be happening in my life beside protecting me from disasters that completely destroy everyones else’s lives… (grumbles about my own problems unrelated to the hurricane which I do not want to share)

Anyone heard from Rolando?

(Roland is irritated for he hates that name when people get his name wrong, does Random Thoughts know this and he is just trying to troll me…perhaps … perhaps not…breathes)

So Random Thoughts you never told me you were Portuguese for that is pretty much the only romantic language that would pronounce Roland like that (you can make an argument for Italian and Spanish for they too can use Rolando but Italian would prefer Orlando and Spanish would prefer Roldán).

Random Thoughts; You are forgiven for saying my name wrong, for future reference the correct way to say my name is Roland + 00 (zero zero), or Roland for short.

So how is everyone else, everyone that is checking up on me? I expect a response from you if you read this and even if it’s a NM response besides the title post.

Incredibly cheap and quick to build. Wood, unlike stone, quite literally grows on trees. - 02/09/2017 10:57:23 PM 573 Views
