School drop-off times are planned so that most everyone can drop their kids off on the way to work, and I generally drop of one of our daughters at her middle school. I'm not sure how it is in other countries or maybe even states, but around here, there's a long windy road where cars queue so they don't block traffic on the main road too badly.
So about 1/5 or so moms seem to have this routine.
Wake up the dumpling(s) and get them ready for school, apparently in silence.
Drive the dumplings to school, apparently in silence.
Wait in the car line 2 cars ahead of me, apparently in silence.
Pull up to the drop off zone and let little pookie out.
As the kid goes to close the door, suddenly remember about a dozen things that the tiny baby kidlet needs to know, and have a 3 minute conversation with him/her, while everyone else is waiting behind you for you to drive off.
By the time you get to the front of the line, you should be prepared to drop and go. Other people have places to be, Car Line Moms.
Other simple things I hate:
People who decelerate to almost zero in the fast lane first, and then shift to the middle turn lane.
High school mean girls. Seriously thought I was done with this crap decades ago, but now they once again control my destiny through their interactions with people I care about.
School teachers who are completely ignorant, including of the subject they are teaching. I think, for instance, that a middle school social studies teacher should be able to pronounce Versailles. (Hint: it doesn't rhyme with 'Israelis' Don't get me started on mathematics or computers, or their general laziness.
Web pages that force you to create a login to do anything. I get it - you want my email so you can spam me. In particular, corporate/business Facebook pages that I can't read unless I sign into Facebook.
Finally, I hate stopping here, but lunch break is over.
