It doesn't fit into what "society" or the "world" deems acceptable? Much like if a woman says she didn't vote for H.Clinton, she is met with hostility. Much like if a man is too "masculine", then he's a part of rape culture. Much like someone can rant about racial appropriation, but be a superfan of Hamilton (Broadway musical). There has always been an unspoken rule book on what society deems acceptable....and in this instance, he is taking a stand which does not align with that unspoken rule book.
