Of course increasing the minimum wage is going to accelerate the rate of adoption of automated technologies. But unless you take the patently foolish view that there's no economic pressure to develop automation (there is) and that automation is only going to remain cost-effective at around $15 an hour (it's not), you're merely delaying the inevitable in any case.
Someone can always underbid the machines, once government is no longer mandating a minimum wage.
