I'm arguing for food, shelter, and healthcare. Not cars and iPhones.

I'm not letting them die. They are letting themselves die. Why can't they take care of themselves? They are adults, yes? They are responsible for their own lives, yes?

Taken to the nth degree, wouldn't this just be social Darwinism....survival of the fittest? It is cold, cruel, and horrible, and I am by no means advocating for it. However the arguments should be made as to why we would artificially inflate the value of non-skilled labor. Are we going to increase the entire wage-compensation structure accordingly? So that skilled labor that was getting paid $18.50 is going to get a $10 increase too, yes? Isn't that fair?

Or does making some "fair" only count for some.....?
