..maybe women should stick to organizing the kind of cabinet that has dishes & spices? And let's not forget that prior to the most recent elections in the UK and the real world, the closest a woman got to the top office was Sarah Palin, who lost the election for John McCain. McCain was a war hero, running against a mulatto of foreign paternity, in the most racist and xenophobic country in the history of the planet. How could he lose...unless it was the fact that half his ticket needed to sit down to pee?
Let's also not forget that in Wheel of Time, a series all about promoting women as equals in power to men, while still rife with common sense observations about the differences between the sexes, climaxed with a battle in which the only female heads of state to survive did so through the practice of, or affiliations with, necromancy.
If that's the price to get a woman in charge, I don't think it's such a good idea.
