I discovered Wotmania in 1998, when there was only one MB and any posts not about the books needed to be identified as off-topic. I was working at a start-up company at the time, which went bust when the dot-com bubble burst in 2000 and all the venture capital dried up. Thus ending my one shot at internet millions.
I landed on my feet at the same company where I work today. it will be 17 years in December. Currently I'm on the global business excellence team as a process and systems expert in transportation and warehousing.
I was 45 years old when I first went to Wotmania. I am now 64. My granddaughter Jori was born in June of 2002. She will be 15 next month. Her dad, Shannon, will be 42 two days later. My daughter will be 39 in September.
My biggest change and challenge is getting used to being alone. My wife Laurel passed away on February 21st of this year. I'm still not sleeping well. Work, family and my friends here at RAFO are keeping me going. And my cat Mocha. I can't forget my baby!
