He is a Firefly fan, he just doesn't know how cool it would be to use the names. I'm convincing him though.

They are common, but not usual, so only cool people would really know how awesome the name is.
And I was kind of trying for a theme with the kids...my son (Cameron) and daughter (Alana) have Celtic/Gaelic names, and when I plugged the names into the baby name finder they both came back Gaelic.
I think I'm winning him over.
