Journal: Entry for Stephen
So I failed two of those repeat exams. That means I can't progress into the next year of my course until I have repeated the two classes.
This is annoying for numerous reasons mostly of financial bearing. Firstly I will have to pay my fees this time around and secondly I am no longer able to receive a grant. These two facts mean I need to find a job fairly pronto. This is difficult as my college town is fairly small and this are several hundred if not thousands of students competing for a tiny pool of jobs. As I have never worked in retail, catering or bar work before this leaves me at something of a disadvantage when applying for most available jobs.
