Already, it's time for a new semester for me. And I haven't done a journal in a while, so why not one now?

This'll be my last semester of actual classes, if I can pass everything. After that, I'm doing an internship, and I'll be able to graduate. Kinda weird and scary, really. When I started in the wotmania/RAFO community, I was just beginning my senior year of high school, and now I'm in my fourth year of college. I'm proud to be apart of this place, and here's to many more years of goofball posts on the CMB!

Back to the actual semester. My apartment-mates seem pretty cool, they're nice guys. And I'm still involved with TV Club (more links with videos will go up!), Habitat for Humanity, and the local college youth group. And I'm still interested in getting a girlfriend.

The list of classes I have are:

PHY 140- General Physics II
HIS 302- Modern India
HIS 366- The Turbulent 60's
SPK 208- Public Speaking
ENV 455- Environmental Seminar

Physics and the Seminar are directly needed for my Environmental Health major. Modern India fulfills my final History minor requirement. The Turbulent 60's fulfills my final writing emphasis class. And pretty much everyone needs to take Public Speaking. I admit, I'm nervous about it. Especially Physics. But I'll do what I need to!

So, that's it. Here's to a good semester!

EDIT: Change in my classes. I'm no longer taking Modern India and instead have Short Fiction.

Good luck and God bless, man.

Sounds like an engaging course load, anyway, and congrats on nearing the end of the road; quite an accomplishment. "Modern" India as a history course instead of sociology or something seemed kinda odd, so hopefully you won't miss it, and Short Fiction is a more RAFO-like class anyway (which I'm sure is the basis on which you picked them. ;)) Here's hoping your final semester and internship go well, and that it doesn't take long to find a job with it once you're done.

I can't offer much GF advice except to be aware and attentive but not eager, ALWAYS confident but NEVER arrogant. They don't come knock on your door, so if you don't seize likely opportunities you'll stay single but, at the same time, actively looking was always disastrous for me. When I quit SEEKING a girlfriend without GIVING UP ON one my wife stumbled across me in about a week, and we spent about a month determining if the apparent attraction was mutual and justified more than just talking online as friends. Meanwhile, any girlfriend you'll actually want isn't into jerks, but she's not into desperation or bootlickers either, so polite but not obsequious seems like the best place to aim.

Anyway, and once again, good luck and God bless with that and everything else; I don't envy you Public Speaking, but I'm sure you'll be better for it in the end, and the same is surely true of your other classes also, so congrats on your accomplishments so far and best wishes with your future ones. :)
You get to do a 100-level subject in you final semester?
Lucky devil
if your public speaking is anything like ours...
it'll be a breeze. no one is listening when you present anyway
I did indeed pick Short Fiction because I like to read.
Thanks for all the support, everyone. And for the record, Dan, it's general physics II. GENERAL PHYSICS II!
If you can't tell, I'm a tad panicked for that class. *NM*
Don't worry, you'll do great. *NM*
