Some suggested as early as 1999 that the internet was devouring brains, but the general public didn’t listen. Later, researchers would compare it to watching a drug spread throughout a population not knowledgable of its side effects, pushing rapidly and obtrusively through whole demographic sectors. Others said the internet was a parasite that had masked its true physical form from human beings, and somehow our attention manufactured food for it. And then it became big business, with multi-national corporations lobbying for its propagation in congress; some compared Google to a tobacco-farmer surveying his unknowing slaves, silently plucking away at advertisements browning in the August sun. There is no fiction here. On November 1st, 2025, Chicago police were called on a routine domestic disturbance call to the upper west side. Upon entering the dining room of a floor level apartment, police officer Emilio Juarez later stated, “I saw the Internet eating the brains of the resident. It had a horseradish mayonnaise in its left hand, and escaped out the window before I could draw my service weapon.”

Either I'm really drunk, or tis is really epic. Maybe a bit of both. I effing love this and am horrified by it at the same time.
i like the idea of the internet as some kind of crazy zombie
