A group of small Swedish cinemas are in on a programme where opera is broadcast live from Metropolitan in New York, and tonight they are showing Carmen. Unfortunately they were sold by the time I got there (the earlier shows have been 20-40% full, which is why I didn't book ahead of time). Bleh, I was looking forward to this.
That's rapidly becoming a trend all across Europe, it seems.

I guess you'll know for next time that famous titles do lure a lot of people, then... I think in the future that whole concept will be spreading further, though.
Yeah, I don't think 20 small Swedish places could do it on their own
They could maybe seat 10 000 people in all (if all were full, which seems very optimistic), which seems very uncertain it could pay for the whole thing.
Yeah. At least I didn't decide to go until Friday, some others who were left out had looked forward to it since October.
