Yaaaay, I'll be 21! I shall not be celebrating it with my friends out drinking, at least not on my actual birthday. My mom and I are getting up and going to this Indian restaurant. We had it in New York and loved it, so we're going to try it again. Then we're going to Ikea! I love that store. I just love walking around. I probably won't get anything because I have to fly back to Kansas for school in like 3 weeks.

Then we're going to Archivers, it's like a scarp booking store. I don't scrapbook really, i have one, but I havn't really gotten into it. If I was rich I would though! You can get some awesome crap, but it's crazy expensive, at least for the things I'd want. I get little metal findings and cool brads for my craft projects as oppose for just scrap booking. I love that place.

Theeen we're going to the British Isles store! I'm so excited. I don't know if I have ever conveyed how much I am in love with British history. I use to read fiction but now it's strictly histories. I use to read a lot of medieval stuff, then I progressed into the renaissance and at the height of my obsession, it was the Tudors. I very much love reading about the monarchy as well as every day village life. I'm currently reading a book on royal lovers of British monarchs. Two of my favorite books on the subject are by Elanor Herman I believe, Sex with Kings and Sex with the Queen. Very funny stuff. Life in a Medieval Village/Castle/City are also good books.

So, we're going o the British store and I'm so excited. I'm trying to decorate my bathroom in my new apartment in an english theme. I've got this great big map of the world shower curtain and a huge map of medieval England my AP European History teacher gave me. I might have trouble getting that on the plane, but I'll work it out. I also love Renaissance festivals, as I think I may have mentioned...and so does my boyfriend, so our apartment has a lot of our stuff we have bought from them, like swords, a big shield, fantasy art. I don't know, I like it, but it's just too much I think. I like more historical swords, but he's more into the fantasy ones, which I kind of think are silly. But our apartment is looking good!

Then we're going to Papadeaux's restaurant. It's like a cajun seafood place, I love it. My favorite cajun place closed down much to my dismay, but I like Papadeaux's too.

And I shall be 21! I would go out with my friends this weekend but my dad and I are driving to Dallas to pick up my sister from my great Aunts. We're going to their ranch, and we shall fish. I love fishing. Maybe I'll go out next weekend, I'd like to go to a club before I go back to Kansas, which has no clubs, only normal bars. It might sound lame, but I'm crazy stoked to spend my birthday tomorrow with my mom going to my favorite places. I got a laptop for my birthday a few weeks ago, so that's my big present, i love it!.

My mom use to go to Mississippi with her sisters and mother to gamble like every year. They always told me they'd take me when I was 21, but my grandmother died 2 years ago (we actually shared a birthday, so tomorrow is her birthday as well) but since she died, we're not going. I never even thought of it. But then my mom goes "so dad and I were wanting to take you on a big gambling trip, but time got away from us and we didnt plan it" gah. I know it's the thought that counts but now I think of what I missed out on as oppose to not even knowing it was a possibility XD. But they said next year we will go when my sister is at my great aunt's again, which will be fun I hope.

That being said, I think they felt bad about not taking me on this big trip they always old me about. After we went to the doctor's yesterday, my mom goes "we want to get you some nice jewelry for your birthday" and she meant like real jewels and stuff. She wanted me to get earrings, but I hardly wear them and I never wear my hair up, so I thought of it as wasting money. So i looked at rings and necklaces, but nothing spoke to me really. I guess if I had time to think on this, i could have shopped around and found something I really liked, but I just wasnt into it. I really appreciated the gesture, but I couldn't just settle for something so expensive. I finally found this silver bracelet that looks like this weird moth wrapped around your wrist, I like odd stuff like that, that was 55$. My mom actually made fun of it before I told her it was my favorite XD then she's like "...yeah, its awesome!" she doesn't like bugs. So I got that and my parents didn't send like 500$ on something I wasn't crazy about.

We went to a bunch of thrift stores recently so I got a lot of clothes for cheap, I count those as birthday presents too. I think this has been a great birthday, even though I havnt had it yet, I do have all my presents, as I was with my mom every time she bought me stuff, so she just gave it to me. But I know I'll find awesome stuff tomorrow at the British Isles.

I had to go to the hospital today to have an upper GI ...inspection? I forget what it's called, but I had to drink this barium stuff, it was horrible, and lay on this table that rotated and took pictures of my tummy. It took like 4 hours. I've been having serious pains in my stomach after everything I eat. No matter what, about 2-3 hours after I eat, I have severe pain. I've had this problem for about 3 years, but like 4 weeks ago it got really bad, so I've got to a specialist to find out whats wrong. I'm on antibiotics because they think it's bacteria, but he said it could also be too much acid, and they've also run tests to confirm things. I feel much better that I will get better, but as it is, I still have a lot of pain right now. Perhaps it's for the best I won't be doing a lot of drinking soon!

Aaaanyways, fun day tomorrow, for it will be my 21st birthday. And next year, it shall be the 1st anniversary of my 21st birthday :P
