Not only is there is no reason or motivation to help them out by patching the games, I think the company may well be legally required to focus their attention elsewhere.
Those servers are an asset of the company, the ability to make money from a patch is an asset of the company, as such if the company releases a patch when it know it is going bankrupt the directors could be liable to prosecution. This is why not a single company, including Valves Steam, will legally bind themselves to keeping those servers up, or releaseing a patch if they come down.
Ubisoft DRM cracked. Already. Along with some interesting statements from the company.
