It was really, really good.
Without spoiling, there are two "scenes" (not counting the small tutorial scene)
In the first, you're a private detective, interviewing a woman of questionable morals in a seedy apartment building.
You wander around her apartment, as you talk to her- I would look out the window, then wander over to lean against her closet as I talked to her. Stuff like that.
There's a fight scene. It's all quicktime events, but the variety of buttons and what you do with them is enough that it doesn't get boring, and there's enough of them to make it really tense. Plus, failing a few times doesn't make you lost- it just makes you get punched in the head, or maybe the opponent picks up a bottle to attack you with.
There's pushing buttons, mashing buttons, holding down buttons, doing joystick manuevars, shaking the control... it gets tense.
The second scene is with an FBI agent. It's not as exciting, but you get to see the really, really sweet clue-finding glasses and scanner glove. Plus, the most exciting climb up a muddy hill I've ever seen.
And rain. Lots of rain.
Definitely download this demo if you have a PS3. I advise playing it in a dark room- makes you feel more involved.

I'm hoping it comes to the PC like Indigo Prophecy (eventually) did.
