Some examples of "The Dev Team Thinks of Everything:"

The theme of this post is "stuff that, in a normal game, would either cause an error or simply have no effect, was already anticipated by the DevTeam." (a few minor spoilers on monsters and such, nothing major)
-For instance: Your character needs to eat to survive, so there are a wide, wide variety of things to eat. One thing you can eat is a cream pie.
You can equip the cream pie, and throw it in a monster's face to blind them. If done to a floating eye (which paralyzes you with its gaze), this will make them essentially harmless
-Another is that, throughout the game, you can pray to your god in hopes of getting a "boon." However, if you've broken your alignment too many times, praying to your god will just piss him off, and he'll throw a lightning bolt at you.
But there are lightning resistant items in the game! So, if you survive THAT, your god hits you with a wide-angle disintegration beam.
But, if you've managed to find and eat the rare black dragon (much easier said than done), you're disintegration-proof!
So if you survive THAT, you get the message:
-If you are overburdened, and walk down the stairs, you fall down the stairs.
-As part of the aforementioned hunger thing, you can eat corpes of monsters. But bodies are heavy! So, you can tin them, and carry around little tins of goblin meat and whatnot. This has advantages, such as when you eat frost giant meat, it gives you a strength buff. But so help you if you eat cockatrice meat...
-Remember that "divine lightning/disintegration" thing I was talking about? Well, if you pray to a pissed-off God while being swallowed by a monster, instead of killing you, the lightning/disintegrate will hit and kill the monster first, likely saving you.
-Magic markers can be used for a surprisingly large number of things- but can run out of ink (charges)
-The whip is a terrible weapon... but you can disarm enemies with it
-Wands of polymorph are awesome- they can literally transform you or anyone else into anything else. But, at random. So if you get sick of having a pet kitty, you can polymorph him. He might turn into a rideable Silver Dragon... or he might turn into a sea monster and die on land.
-Nymphs are incredibly annoying monsters that steal your stuff and then teleport away. When you kill one, you'll see that, besides your item, they'll almost always have a mirror (because they love looking at their appearance.) So, if you take that mirror, that will be the item all future nymphs steal.
-The mirror can also be used to spook most monsters for a turn or two, if you show them their reflection
-And it can ALSO be used to reflect any gaze-attack
-You can kick anything. A monster, for small damage. An item, to send it scuttling across the floor. A wall, for small damage to yourSELF.
-There's a minor feature that allows a monster to run up to you, in-game, to tell you you've received an email. This "mailer daemon" usually shows up instantaneously and is gone the next "turn." However, a Crazy Prepared player can kill it, preventing further messages from being delivered; to do this, the player needs to stone-to-flesh a statue of a mail daemon, which is not something that occurs naturally but needs to be wished for, and to be prepared to kill the resulting daemon in one turn as it otherwise disappears with a cry of "I'm late!". Resulting in, if you kill your (supposedly) unkillable mail daemon, you no longer receive mail in-game.
- Reading a cursed scroll of amnesia causes you to forget everything with the phrase "Thinking of Maud you forget everything else." or "Who was that Maud person anyway?" If your character is named Maud, the phrase is instead "As your mind turns inwards on itself, you forget everything else."
-If you overeat, you have a small possibility of choking to death (which lasts several turns as you lose oxygen). The more you overeat, the greater the chance. If you have an Amulet of Magical Breathing, however...
-Using polymorph, you can change into monsters. Certain monsters lay eggs. If you change into say, a dragon, you can lay an egg. Then you can carry it around with you, and eventually it will hatch into a baby dragon for you to love and care for!
-Cockatrice eggs can be thrown at enemies (if you wear gloves) as petrification bombs. But if you use eggs you've laid, you take a karma hit.
