Infinite Undiscovery is one of those games that really...challenges me Brian Send a noteboard - 27/01/2010 04:52:17 AM
In addition to Mass Effect 1 and 2, Dragon Age: Origins, and possibly Fallout 3, since you liked FF 6 and 7 so much, you should definitely play the other final fantasies if you haven't already. Currently I'm playing 8, since I never beat it before, and it's actually really good, and 9 and 10 are both fantastic.

I made it about halfway through 8, and kinda got side tracked. I think I went into it expecting....something a lot like 7 and was disappointed when it wasn't there. I'd really like to try the others, and probably will when/if I get around to picking up a PS3.

I probably wouldn't recommend Star Ocean: The Last Hope, because it is similar to Infinite Undiscovery, so if you didn't like the latter, you probably won't like the former either.

I really keep wanting to like Infinite Undiscovery, because I do like the characters, and the story is interesting enough....but something about the battle system just pisses me off. Controlling your supporting characters needs to be seamless, and it just isn't there in that game. I don't always care how you implement the "seamlessness" be it turn based, or a well done UI...it just needs to work, and if it isn't turn based the UI better be fantastic and simple to control when you need to. The UI in it is just terrible...too many deaths that shouldn't have happened if you had proper control of your characters or if they worked the way they should in the party.
