Sometimes you have to compromise realism for enjoyment, though. If someone buys a star wars MMO for 60 bucks, you can darn well bet they expect to be able to play a Jedi, and won't be happy when they can't. Even if it's more realistic that way. You'd end up with disgruntled people quitting the game, or re-rolling and grinding out another character just to try and get a jedi. They wouldn't be happy about having to do that .
Yeah, I totally understand. I would want to be a Jedi too. It's half the fun.
Also, I know it was just a suggestion. It was a good one, too. I do think it'd be pretty entertaining to have that system, and see how it ended up. I was just posting a response as to why I didn't think it was feasible, that's all.
I like Bergioyn's suggestion of a couple 'Realism' servers. Might solve the problem somewhat.
Has anyone else been following The Old Republic?

Looks good, but I've sworn off pay-to-play MMORPGs. Too much investment of time/money. (mostly time) *NM*

That's a thought. Some games have had Role Playing servers, and the like. . . *NM*
