I finished this game about a week ago, and loved it.

I'd like a bit more options when creating characters and so far(I've only completed 9% of the game) it seams a bit too linear for my taste. But then I'd probably say this about any game.
Don't have time to post a huge amount right now, but I will say that 9% sounds like you're still in your character's origin story. It's definitely true that those are pretty linear, but it will open up quite a bit for you, shortly. You'll be given four different main places to go, and you can pick which one you want to do at what time. Once you're there, there are quite a few sidequests, and a main quest, too. Most of the time you can start and stop the main quest whenever you want and go do sidequests, or go to some other place entirely. It's still a constrained game. . .there's not a lot of straight up, sandbox-style free roaming, but it's definitely non-linear.
You'll like the game, methinks. Enjoy.

Speaking of, there appears to be a significant bug in the PS3 version?

It's fun, but unoriginal.
