We've only played 7 or 8 times, but I think I've won at least 5-6 of them. It's a great game, and I'm amazed at how much fun a non-combative civilization-type board game can be.
(I've described the game once or twice as a boiled down version of CivIII turned into a board game)"Seafarer's of Catan" and "Cities and Knights" are the two expansions for the game (there are a bunch of variants that are not apparently compatible with the game).
Cities and Knights adds a bit of a taste of warfare as you now have to generate knights to protect Catan's cities from the barbarians that are sailing to the island of Catan.
Personally, I find this game to be seriously ADDICTIVE, and it isn't unheard of for me to kill 3-6 hours online in a given day playing against people worldwide.
Death to the Regressives of the GOP and the TeaParty. No mercy for Conservatives. Burn them all at the stake for the hateful satanists they are.

I'm from the US and have played it with friends. They hate that I usually win.

Nope. I've only played the board version, and a game usually takes no more than 1.5 hrs with 4.
