My friend occasionally likes to play Magic when he comes over and I had some eight decks that I had built previously. I just built a new Red/Blue deck that seems to be shutting down all my other decks pretty effectively. Virtually no spell costs more than 2-3 mana. The blue side is mostly counterspells with a couple of Disruptive Students and some Prodigal Sorcerers. The red side has a LOT of damage spells (Lightning Bolts, Fireballs and a few other similar spells that are a bit more flexible on targeting), some land destruction cards (Stone Rain and the one that is cheap - 1 red - but makes you sacrifice a land, too) cinder elementals and a few other smaller creatures (and two Ball Lightnings). Then I have two Meekstones.
The deck is shutting down pretty much everything I have except my millstone deck destruction white/blue no creature deck, and even then it still wins some of the time. My Goblin deck tends to do well half the time, too, but the blue counterspells tend to be conserved to stop Goblin Grenades and other spells that would enhance the Goblins.
Anyone care to discuss favourite Magic decks?

Forum posts should be like a skirt. Long enough to cover the topic but short enough to keep your attention.

I find Elf decks limiting on their own, but good as a component of a two-color deck

I joke with my friends that I wanted to make a red/white deck and it turned out all black.

It's a cheap creature. I'd kill it as soon as it came out or counter it. *NM*

That sounds like a good deck. I might have to try something similar.
