I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's in the BG1/Icewind Dale 1 generation, not the BG2/ID2 generation. It's not a huge difference, but it's there.

Seriously, a great time for RPG gaming. All of those plus MORROWIND, ANACHRONOX and the PC version of FINAL FANTASY VII came out in that four-and-a-bit span of time.
