Very, very interesting here. I think that between this and the humble bundle, EA is working very hard to change the entire "anti-EA" mindset that has been built up so strongly in the last few years. Personally, I applaud them and think that this has the opportunity to foster some healthy challenge between Origin and Steam as well as to simply create a better EA fanbase and encourage better, more stable, games to be developed. I mean, if a game has 50% of its sales returned, they obviously won't be making out very well. What better way to encourage game companies to make stronger games than to hit them in their pockets when they release weak ones? I would love to see steam implement this as well.
