I know a number of people who bought the Kinect in the heat of the moment, played it for a week, and then never dragged it out again, or bought any games on the basis of having it. Kind of like how a lot of people bought Wiis, but hardly bought any games beyond Wii Sports and Wii Play, and most of those came 'free' in bundles, viewing it as a party gimmick.
