Which might be good, or might mean that the game would be better served on a keyboard. The flinching part of the article was cool, and being able to lean and so forth... But I don't know how effective it will be. How much will I have to lean? What if I'm not in a position to lean or flinch, because I'm sprawled out on the couch? I certainly don't have any interest in shouting anything at my tv, except maybe obscenities when I lose during a particularly aggravating portion of the game.
So I agree, there is potential. But I still see it as a gimmick, because to me a gimmick is something that is cool, and maybe even interesting... but that I can take or leave, and which ultimately doesn't influence my decision in the slightest. The Kinect might have good features. But even if it does, I'm not that interested in them, and won't miss them. I will miss the $100 Microsoft wants me to spend though.
