Nor do I care, for that matter. I don't use my current systems as any sort of media centers, I just use them to play games that are either only available for them, or for which a PC is simply unsuited/unnecessary.
So for me, it all depends on the games that the system comes with, and its price. If rumors of a $399 price are correct, then the PS4 will be a strong contender for my money. Especially if it comes with strong games. Differentiating their lineup from Microsoft's should be their number 1 priority, and if they succeed in that, they'll do very well. Same goes for Microsoft. I'm a fan of Sony's due to my undying love for the PS1 and PS2, but that won't stop me from buying whichever console has the better set of games. And honestly, considering how things are, whichever one remains more "conservative" and stays away from the crap Nintendo keeps doing with its controllers, and the type of gaming best suited to phones and tablets. I get a console to play serious, engrossing, long, quality games, not a little bit of random and pointless fun I'll forget after a minute. That's what phones and commutes are for, and I'm not a fan of the two spheres crossing.
