Haven't played MTG in years, well over a decade is more appropriate for last time I played, mtg was just starting 5th edition.
Yet my friends have gotten me into the game again, played 2 games in the last month and I am serious to continue.
Only modern or standard decks allowed
Proxies cards allowed (this is what convinced me to join since I don't have to do the money sink that is cards.)
----------------------------------------------
They play a lot of 2 v 2 games for it is easier to organize when you have groups of people then a lot of individual 1 v 1 games. Everyone is playing at once instead of waiting for a match to end or replay the same opponent again.
So one of my planned decks is a white turbo fog/mill/angel deck, the deck would be used in conjuction with a partner who would use a blue counterspell deck.
*My main tactic is to use fog like effects to delay, delay, delay
*Use Howling Mine type cards to generate card draw for both sides. Since my opponents can't get past my fogs I don't care how many cards are in their hands
*Eventually I mill my opponents. I do not mill my partner or myself for we have elixirs of immortality that let us shuffle our graveyards into our decks.
*I have an alternate win condition with the luminarch accension. Due to fogs I won't take damage, after 4 rounds I can pump out angel tokens cheaply. I swarm enough 4/4 flying angels to overwhelm my opponents
My partner would be playing a blue counter spell deck that has two goals.
*protect my mill cards, isochron scepters, luminarch accensions, etc
*keep both of us protected (especially in the early game) until I can start getting card draw via the mines to guarantee a fresh supply of fog cards. If an opponent can't summon his creatures then we don't have to worry about those creatures swing at us
*to reduce the chances of death by cards that cause direct damage to us via effects that don't use the battlefield.
----------------------------------------------
Here are the cards I got so far. I need to whitle them down to something like 60 to 65.
Plains x20
Font of Mythos x4
Temple Bell x4
Elixir of Immortality x3
Mikokoro, Center of Sea x1
Luminarch Ascension x4
Gauntlet of Power x4
Etheral Haze x4
Holy Day x4
Dawn Charm x4
Silence x4
Isochron Scepter x4
Story Circle x4
Wall of Omens x4
Total Cards 72
So what should I drop/reduce?

No advice, but I like Two-Headed Giant. Is that what you're playing?
