Similar to city-scape setups - they have tree paths in the wilderness which do allow for travel among the tree tops ... some of the view syncronization moments occur in the tops of big trees. I'm not too far into the wilderness areas yet, but from what I've experienced it's definitely got some really good ambush points out in the wild.

Also - they have occasional tree stands in the middle of the some of the paths for hunting purposes - which is also a big portion of this game so far. I made a mint hunting and had a ton of fun doing it. Trapping is also fun, but more tedious (especially if you do many snares far apart from eachother).

You should give it a go,
