Did they have to go for the fixed scripting? I had to quit the game a couple of times when the doors wouldn't open because of bugs in the scripting. And I was playing on Ironman, my entire game would have been a waste if we weren't allowed to restart after the volunteer dies. Hope the fix that in a future patch.
Anyways, I get to the last room with the ethereal and it isn't any challenge at all. I just lined up my sniper from outside the room and double tapped the Ethereal. Game over.

Yep. Also, the last stage felt really empty. And why were there regular floaters instead of heavies if it's their main ship? I was playing on normal and the last mission was not the hardest one by far. Otherwise I really liked the game. I didn't have any problems with the doors though.
