It being so repetitive. The second wasn't much better. It seemed like they just expanded the scope and it took sooooo long to finally get the cool stuff.
I did find the story interesting and the ending kind of infuriating, especially since Brotherhood (which was out when I played it) and Revelations followed the same character but didn't really add anything to the Subject 16 story arch. They also didn't do anything to add to Ezio's story in a meaningful way.
Because of this, I don't think I will bother with AC3.

You can ignore most of the sidequests, except when they are explicitly part of the main story path. *NM*
