And the AI does funny things, best one I've seen: my ally (Norway) faces a rebellion from a vassal, I (Denmark) send a small army to join his forces against the vassal as a gesture of goodwill... and Norway reacts by declaring war on me instead, while still having war declared on the vassal. I managed to sign peace with the vassal and then beat off Norway - only then did they go back to subduing the vassal. Bizarre.
But in general the AI is good enough to kick my ass even on the low levels, so well. Maybe I'm just prone to overly ambitious invasions...
